Moin, Moin! :: Sep 11, 2007 :: Comments [13]
Hello out there! I'm back from Northern Germany. B and me really enjoyed our one week vacation in Hamburg and in North Frisia though it was really short for German proportions. Actually the German average citizen (like me?) is used to spend his vacation for 2 or 3 weeks. :) Anyway, we had a good time, especially at the North Sea. We traveled around a lot, visited 2 islands (Amrum and Sylt) by ship, walked over the tideland to a holm ("Hallig Suedfall", will tell something about that later) and enjoyed the northern flair. What I liked the most was the low (human) population density. When you walk along the coast or drive through the back-country you meet just a handful of people (but therefor thousands of sheeps and cows. LOL). It's all so quiet and peaceful up there. No stress, no noise (except the wind), no hectic urban life ... I love it. I can image this for a new home one day.
As you might guess I took "a few" photos and I'm going to show you some within the next days/weeks. I'll also have a look at your blogs to see what I've missed.
Some lingusitics: The Frisian greeting "Moin, Moin!" means something like "Good day" and you can say it all day.
